Eg. purush a man, a male is masculine. stree a woman is fem., manas a human being(homo) is neut. : so chhokro a boy is masculine, chhokree a girl is feminine. ChhokruN a child, is neut..
The names of the days of the week, of months, of mountains, the heavenly bodies, oceans, seas, winds, divisions of a country, are masculine.

Names of classes of animals, villages, cities, districts, the points of the compass, and most names of fruits are neuter.
